Bookmarks

GOAL: Create a set of personal bookmarks. You will turn in two files.

Example: If your name is John Smith and you are in period 3, your file will be named

John Smith P3 bookmarks.psd

John Smith P3 bookmarks.jpg

INSTRUCTIONS

• Create a new blank document that is 1.75 inches wide, 7.5 inches high, and 150 pixels/inch. You may also swap the width and height.
• Design an attractive bookmark that encourages reading and/or promotes a book. You may use any photoshop techniques you wish.
• Put all of the layers of the bookmark into a group.
• Save your bookmark as bookmark1.psd.
• Follow the directions above to make four more bookmarks named bookmark2.psd, bookmark3.psd, bookmark4.psd, and bookmark5.psd.

AFTER YOU HAVE CREATED ALL FIVE BOOKMARKS

• Open the file named bookmarks_guide.psd.
• Use the move tool to copy each bookmark onto the bookmark guide
• Save the bookmark guide as the correct file types with the correct names and turn in both files.

GRADING

9-10: Five unique bookmarks. All are the correct size. All have original designs. Each bookmark is customized and very clearly promotes reading. All images are correctly proportioned. Images and text are arranged in an attractive design.
